Creates the Rhode Island Climate Superfund Act of 2026.
This bill would create a program in Rhode Island that requires large fossil fuel companies — such as oil, gas, and coal producers — to pay into a special fund based on how much their products contributed to greenhouse gas emissions over a specific historical period.
