HOUSE RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE CULTURE AND HERITAGE OF TAÍNO DESCENDANTS IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND
This is a House Resolution from the Rhode Island state legislature that officially recognizes and honors the culture and heritage of Taíno descendants living in Rhode Island.
Protects people attending Rhode Island court proceedings from civil arrest without a judicial warrant, ensures court access, sets enforcement rules, and provides remedies for violations.
This bill would protect people from being arrested by civil enforcement agents — such as federal immigration officers — while they are traveling to, attending, or leaving a Rhode Island court proceeding.
Requires public auctions by any city or town of real estate or an interest therein to only be done in person and not by electronic or remote procedures unless authorized by court order.
